West County
Micromobility Hub

Bikes, e-bikes, and free mobility access — brought back to life, and built to last.

The future home base for bike repair, e-bike access, and community-led mobility. It doesn’t exist yet. We’re inviting our community to help bring it into existence.

01The vision

A home for mobility.

The West County Micromobility Hub will be located at 1434 Macdonald Avenue — a permanent place for Richmond to ride, repair, learn, gather, and move forward together.

Help protect 1434 Macdonald Avenue. Rich City Rides is raising $725,000 by December 31, 2026, to secure this future home of the West County Micromobility Hub and 1525 Ohio Avenue, the future Black Wellness Hub.

Richmond asked. We’re bringing it back.

3,600+Free new and refurbished bikes provided to our neighbors

Rich City Rides has been putting bikes in Richmond hands for over a decade. Since our first bike shop opened in 2014, we’ve provided more than 3,600 free new and refurbished bikes to our neighbors.

When our building was sold and the shop closed, Richmond didn’t let it go quietly. Residents and community members called for its return. The West County Micromobility Hub is how we bring that legacy back with free bike access at the scale our community has told us, again and again, that it wants. Help reboot the bike shop.

04More than a bike shop

Green mobility. Local opportunity.

This hub is designed to grow into a full home for green transportation and workforce development in Richmond with real jobs with room to grow, from repair technicians to workshop facilitators, all trained and paid fair wages right here.

Every dollar earned will go back into keeping our workshops, charging, and community rides free.

  • Paid local jobs
  • Hands-on technical training
  • Revenue reinvested in free community programs
05Help us build it

Keep this home in community hands.

The Hub is still in its early, visionary stage and that’s exactly where community support matters most. Donations through the main Rich City Rides campaign are first applied by our fiscal sponsor, Urban Tilth, toward the shared property obligation protecting 1434 Macdonald Avenue and 1525 Ohio Avenue.

After that obligation is satisfied, future gifts designated for the Mobility Hub will support its buildout and programming. Your contribution helps keep these community assets in community hands and turns Richmond’s most-requested project back into a reality.
