What is a Bike Bus?

The North Richmond Bike Bus is a joyful, community-powered initiative that brings students, families, and neighbors together for weekly group bike rides to Verde Elementary School.

This project is about safety, health, and connection. Supported by local partners, Ride Marshals, and volunteers, the Bike Bus empowers kids to move together — making school mornings more fun and more active.

Explore the Route

We will meet at 7:15 am at the corner of Sanford & Kelsey. We will roll out at 7:30 AM and ride together to Verde Elementary. The route takes about 10–15 minutes.

Forms & Waivers

We want every rider to be safe and supported! Below are the key forms and resources you’ll need before joining a ride:

1: Join the Ride

North Richmond Bike Bus Sign-Up & Waiver

For parents or guardians to register their student, agree to ride rules, and complete the liability waiver.

Fill Out Form

All student riders must have a waiver signed before participating.

2: Need a Bike?

Bike Lending Request Form

Request a student bike or helmet for the upcoming ride. We’ll do our best to match riders based on size and availability.

Request a Bike

Bikes are limited, so priority will be given to those who need them most for accessibility or safety.

Volunteer

We’re looking for parents, guardians, and community members to join as Ride Marshals — adults who help guide, support, and keep students safe during the ride.
